Hi, I’m Melissa

(she/they)

I’m a warm, grounded, and relational therapist who brings compassion, cultural curiosity, and deep respect for your lived experience into the therapy space. I believe in the innate wisdom each person holds, and I aim to cultivate a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, collaboration, and care.

My approach is integrative and honors the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. I draw from a range of modalities—relational therapy, embodiment practices, parts work, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—to meet you where you are. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts, patterns, relationships, and lived experiences that may be keeping you stuck.

As an immigrant from a multicultural background with roots in Colombia, I am attuned to the complexities of identity. I bring this perspective into my work with individuals and couples, especially those navigating the layers of being first-generation, multicultural, or carrying the weight of generational or personal trauma.

I strive to co-create an environment that is anti-oppressive and decolonial—where your wholeness is honored and your voice is central. You are the expert on your life.

Who I Work With

I work with adults who struggle with the emotional weight of trauma, chronic illness, difficulties in relationships and identity issues. You might be someone who’s held it together for a long time, but now feels the need for support in making sense of what you’ve been carrying. Together, we’ll create space to explore your experiences with care and intention—so you can begin to feel more grounded, understood, and connected to yourself and others.

I also work with couples who are seeking to deepen their connection, improve communication, and feel more seen and understood in their relationships. I welcome and support neurodivergent couples, including those navigating differences in processing, communication, or relational needs. Whether we're untangling patterns or building new ways of being together, I hold space with curiosity, warmth, and care.
